We love guacamole in our home. My 4 Ingredient Guacamole Recipe has been my go-to for years. I love to make a batch of my air fryer tortilla chips to serve alongside this homemade guacamole and salsa. This recipe is made on the weekly when I make any Mexican recipe. This is a base recipe for guac, and best of all you can add in so many other ingredients to transform this creamy dip into whatever you may wish. I explain all my tips and tricks and exactly what you need to do to make the best guacamole.

🥘 Ingredients
All you need are the four ingredients below to make my guacamole recipe without cilantro!

First, Mince 2 tablespoons of red onion very fine. Place in a deep bowl. Then add ¾ of the lime juice.
Slice an avocado open, carefully remove pit, and scoop the flesh into the bowl with the red onion and lime juice. Sprinkle the salt on top and mash with a fork until desired consistency.
Drizzle the additional lime juice on top and enjoy immediately with chips.

Is guacamole vegan?
Yes, my recipe for guacamole is vegan. It only contains avocados, lime, red onions, and cilantro.
Does guacamole contain garlic?
Traditional guacamole does not contain garlic. Typical guacamole has avocado, lime, red onion, salt, and sometimes plum tomato, cilantro, and jalapeno for spice.
Is guacamole just avocado?
Guacamole is typically made of just more then mashed creamy avocado. You can eat it just as mashed guacamole but additional spices and vegetables will help elevate it.
How to keep guacamole from turning brown?
The best way to keep guacamole from turning brown is by placing plastic wrap on top and pressing it into the guacamole so no air can touch the guacamole. It can be stored like this for up to a few hours before it begins to brown. I also like to squeeze additional lime juice on top before placing the plastic wrap.
How to open an avocado?
I love to use the OXO Good Grips 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer. I can use one end to slice the avocado open, then use the u0022pitteru0022 to twist the avocado pit safely, then scoop the flesh out with the other end of the slicer OR simply scoop out with a spoon.
How to make guacamole with one avocado?
If you only have one avocado you can still make this guacamole recipe with just one avocado. Simply follow this recipe but reduce the onion and lime to just one tablespoon and salt to ½ teaspoon.

Here are a few of my favorite tips and tricks on how to make my Guacamole rezepte.
- Avocado Quantity – If you are looking to make guacamole for 4 you will need 2 avocados.
- Mix-ins – If I want to get fancy I’ll add 1 tablespoon of minced cilantro and 1 tablespoon of minced plum tomatoes.
- Spicy – If you like your guacamole spicy add in 1-2 tablespoon of fresh minced jalapeno for extra kick.
- Serving Size – Serving size is based on 2 tablespoons of guacamole
- Plain Guacamole – Omit the lime and the onion and simply mash the avocado with the salt for a less fragrant guac.

Ingredients
