The minute the weather starts to take on a chill here in Western NC, I am suddenly all about fall and all things Halloween! To welcome in the Spooky season, I thought it would only be right to commemorate it with a spooky co*cktail…or two…or three….
In my house we love All Hallows Eve and it wouldn’t be Halloween if you didn’t have a spooky co*cktail or two on hand to welcome the ghouls and goblins.
Halloween co*cktails can be creepy and often gimmicky but always a hoot to mix up. This Witches Potion co*cktail is sure to add an extra eerie touch to your Halloween or Autumn gathering, and it’s a snap to mix up.
Or if you’re more like me and prefer to snuggle up on the couch and binge watch spooky movies then just brew up a batch of this warm and fuzzy co*cktail to help set the mood and warm up your insides!
You only need six ingredients to make this stress-free co*cktail, and you can make just one or a whole batch. We have also provided a non-alcoholic version of this whimsical Halloween drink for the younger warlocks and witches!
The Witches Potion co*cktail has a mysterious look to it and the sanding sugar on the rim of the glass is so eerie looking but also adds a sweet finish to each sip.
Serve a cauldron of this at your Halloween party with some plastic spiders or fake eyeballs floating in it for a simple creepy effect. Or serve in a sugar rimmed martini glass for a dramatically disturbing sip. The possibilities are frightening!
Ingredient’s required….
Coconut Rum– is a coconut flavored liqueur made with Caribbean rum.
Light Rum– Light Rum is also sometimes called white rum. Light/White rum is smoother and subtler than it’s darker counterparts.

Sour Apple Liqueur– Sour Apple Liqueur is infused with intense, juicy, sweet and sour apple flavor. Perfect for fruity mixed co*cktails and adds a lovely green color!
Sweet and Sour mix– Sweet, tart, and citrusy! Sweet and Sour mix is great for numerous delicious co*cktails.

Optional Glass Decor
To give your co*cktail an added decorative touch you could use green slime (cake decorating gel) to the glass. This looks especially cool with the black or green sanding sugar!
1. Take the slime green gel and create a blood drip pattern going from the top to the middle.
2. Set to the side.
The slime may drip a bit – it took me a while to get it right! But you do not have to make it perfect – it should be naturally messy like the slimy mess a witch would make.
