WWE Captures Behind-the-Scenes Footage of The Rock, Cody Rhodes for Upcoming Documentary

Following the success of WWE's first documentary that featured Cody Rhodes, the company is reportedly planning on another installment that will include his storyline with The Rock.

WWE released American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes last July and it was well-received by fans who enjoyed watching his journey from his return to the company at WrestleMania 38 to his loss to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp recently provided an update on the filming of part 2 of the documentary, noting that filming has been underway for some time.

"They have been actively filming it for months, including backstage, when he passed off the match to The Rock," Sapp said during a Q&A session (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News).

Sapp was referring to the moment Rhodes seemingly handed his main event spot in WrestleMania 40 to The Rock, which resulted in a massive fan backlash.

WWE then pivoted to have The Rock team with Reigns in a tag match against Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins in the Night 1 main event, while The American Nightmare will challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to close out Night 2.

Fans will surely be excited to see how things played out behind the scenes this time around when the second installment of Rhodes' documentary is released.

CM Punk Teases WrestleMania 40 Surprises

Despite being forced to sit out WrestleMania 40 while recovering from a torn triceps, CM Punk dropped a couple of hints that he has something special in store for the marquee event.

The Best in the World posted a pair of photos on his Instagram story that teased a surprise for The Show of Shows and a project with Randy Orton.

"Working on something cool for the fans that are coming to Mania," he captioned on the first photo (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News).

Punk tore his triceps while competing in the men's Royal Rumble match, which was his first televised WWE bout since 2014.

He was expected to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, but his injury derailed those plans. But he was seen without a cast six weeks after surgery, so his recovery appears to be going well.

Punk is set to appear on this week's WWE Raw, so perhaps he will reveal more about what he has planned for the biggest event of the year. Fans will certainly be happy to see him participate in WrestleMania 40 in whatever way he can.

Kenny Omega Reveals Kurt Angle to be His Greatest Wrestler of All Time

AEW Superstar Kenny Omega is one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation, but he recently paid his respect to a WWE Hall of Famer who is one of his biggest inspirations.

During a recent Twitch stream (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), he named Kurt Angle as his favorite wrestler and praised him for his ability to excel in the ring while also embracing the comedic elements of the sports entertainment business:

"I do think that Kurt Angle is the greatest – I can't even say just in-ring, for me he's the most complete wrestler of all time. He's my favorite. He's my go-to guy to study, for me being an athletic guy that wants to be able to mesh well and complement every wrestling style. But also not – I'm also, of course, anyone who's familiar with me here in chat, I'm not afraid to embarrass myself or do silly things. And that's what I loved a lot about what Kurt did on TV."

An Olympic gold medalist, Angle took to pro wrestling like a fish in water and became one of the most exciting in-ring performers the business has seen. However, his willingness to poke fun at himself and put himself in hilarious situations made him even more beloved by fans, including Omega.

Angle responded to Omega's praise on social media:

Kurt Angle @RealKurtAngle

Much respect Kenny. Hope to meet you one day!! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/itstrue?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#itstrue</a> <a href="https://t.co/BQHlc7P6do">https://t.co/BQHlc7P6do</a>

Omega has been sidelined since December after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. A report earlier this month suggested that he could be returning to AEW soon.
